Bisharin Tribes

The Bisharin are found in southern Egypt (though the majority of the ethnic group reside in Sudan), in the area between the Nile River and the Red Sea, south of the Ababda tribes. They are a subgroup of the Beja people and speak the Beja language. Traditionally, they have been a nomadic group that supported themselves by raising livestock, such as camels, goats, and sheep. Over time, droughts and government taxation have forced many to partake in sedentary farming communities.
